Nivedita has a strong academic foundation in art and design, having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Arts from the prestigious Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai, followed by postgraduate studies at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad—widely regarded as India’s foremost design institution.

With nearly two decades of experience spanning jewelry design, product design, advertising, and entrepreneurial ventures, Nivedita has worked with renowned UAE brands such as Emaar, Zulekha Hospitals, and Novo Cinemas, as well as her own brand, Chilly Date Foods. Her career progression reflects both creative excellence and strategic leadership; she has held senior roles including Head of Design, Agency Director, and CEO, where she led multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact design solutions.

Currently, Nivedita is exploring new creative directions through psychic portraiture and writing and illustrating children’s picture books, while actively teaching art at Alserkal, Dubai.

Drawing from her education at top institutions and her successful professional journey, she is well prepared to mentor senior school students in developing strong, concept-driven graduation portfolios, guiding them with clarity, structure, and confidence as they prepare for undergraduate art and design programs.
